Criteria for Filmmaker Market Entry Funding Application
MAT 1926 Emerging Filmmakers Program
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with a timeline of up to four (4) months.
Required Application Elements
Required Application Elements:
- Film Title
- Film Poster
- One finalized or concept image suitable for marketing review.
- Primary Locations (filming and narrative setting)
- Audience Appeal: Describe the intended audience and why this story will resonate culturally, emotionally or socially (maximum 125 words)
- Uniqueness of the Film: What differentiates the story from others in the market? (maximum 25 words)
- Director Information: Describe why this director is uniquely suited to tell your story (maximum 75 words)
- Screenwriter Experience: Include relevant film, television, or narrative storytelling experience. (maximum 125 words)
- Principal Talent
- Headshot required
- Role and actor description (maximum 25 words each)
- Budgetary Considerations: High-level overview of total budget range and funding needs (maximum 25 words)
- Film Treatment
- Maximum one (1) page
- No more than 59 lines
- Clearly structured beginning , middle, and end.
- Character List: Brief description of all primary characters and their narrative roles.
- Completed Screenplay: Final shooting script in standard screenplay format (PDF).
- Applicant Contact Information: Full name. email address, phone number, city, state/country.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Selected filmmakers may be contacted for further review and due diligence.

- Potential for impact.

- Script (Name your file: FilmTitle_Script_Lastname_Firstname. Formatted in .pdf only please)
- Film Poster. (Name your file: FilmTitle_Poster_Lastname_Firstname. Formatted in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, webp, .heic, or .pdf, only please)
- Please include your actor’s photos within the film details file as a full-page embedded image.
COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP.
Awards Jury
The award board consists of at least five jurors. Three members of AHC Films board of directors, And at least two professional filmmakers.
Funding and Disposition Timeline
Award funds received from private and corporate donors are deposited in a Private Client Investment Trust account with Chase Bank.
Award winners will receive the full amount of the award in a single payment specifying the name of the filmmaker, terms and conditions, and date of the award.

This announcement was displayed on the front page of the website due to its limited application window, material relevance to the public and the nonprofit obligation to clear, timely notice of charitable programs funded by private and corporate donors.
Consistent with transparency, and public-benefit disclosure practices applicable to 501 (c) (3) organizations. A summarized version of the program is also displayed on the front-page of this website to ensure ongoing public access to program information beyond the application period.
